Christus introduces new dialysis tech

 Christus Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Hospital has introduced a new technology for inpatient dialysis patients at its facility.

The health system started using a new system in February called the TABLO In-Source Dialysis Program, an all-in-one dialysis system that has a built-in water purification device.

Christus has said that the new device allows nurses to be fully trained in its operation within about three hours, expanding the number amount of personnel that can help patients. It is also apparently more accurate and faster, which it said should limit stress for patients during their dialysis.
