Frisco gets top marks as the country’s best housing market
A Dallas suburb has taken the top spot in a nationwide housing market beauty contest.
Frisco was ranked as the country’s top real estate market in 2021 in a new study by WalletHub.
Frisco even beat out Austin as the best place to buy a house in the annual ranking.
McKinney, Denton and Allen also made the top 10 list.
To rank the markets, WalletHub looked at property metrics in 300 U.S. cities to gauge housing market attractiveness and economic strength. The measures included factors such as home price appreciation and job growth.
“This year, the housing market is in a unique situation as mortgage rates are only slightly above record lows at a time when many Americans are struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” WalletHub’s Adam McCann said in the report. “For those who have extra cash, buying a home now could be a golden opportunity.”
