Ginger and David Ready feel fortunate that they were able to transition to a single-level villa on the north side of South Bend from a tri-level in the nearby Arlington Heights neighborhood, despite the competition for available homes.
“It took us four tries before we were finally successful,” Ginger said. “You have to be patient and not get discouraged. You have to persevere.”
The Readys credit their real estate agent, Kirsten Sharpe of Sharpe Realty, with helping prepare them for the sale of their longtime home and then bracing them for the challenges of the search.
“We had a lot of steps in the house, and a corner lot that required lots of yard work and snow shoveling,” Ginger explained. “It did take us some time to clear out things we didn’t need anymore, but it was a good time to purge.”
