Mobile Farmer Market returns with fresh fruits and vegetables at North Olmsted Senior Center
NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — After a year away due to the pandemic, the Mobile Farmer Market returns this summer from 10 a.m. to noon every other Tuesday beginning July 27 through Sept. 21 at the North Olmsted Senior Center patio.
“This is a partnership with the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, which schedules these mobile markets to go along with the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program,” North Olmsted Senior Center Administrator Tiffany Hunt said.
“Seniors over 60 years of age who are income-qualified can receive $50 worth of vouchers to spend at local farmer markets and farm stands. We have the market here because of easy access for our seniors to come spend their vouchers.”
The entire community is invited to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, herbs, salsas and jams from Richardson Farms, which also accepts the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program vouchers.
