Rouses Markets loans large-scale generator to Thibodaux Regional as hospital sees influx after Ida

After Thibodaux Regional Hospital lost one of its generators, Rouses Markets stepped up to loan the hospital a large-scale generator so it can continue providing care to the region in the days following Hurricane Ida.According to a news release from Rouses Markets, one of Thibodaux Regional’s generators overheated all while the health system has been relying on emergency generators due to outages from Ida.The need for generators could go on for several weeks, officials said.In Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes, Thibodaux Regional is the regional health care provider for those still dealing with impacts from Ida.Before the storm, the hospital was nearly full with patients.
