Two Chicago-area women are among the nation’s top-selling real estate agents
Leonard ranked sixth nationally among medium-sized teams for the number of sales. That’s the highest a Chicago-area agent has placed on Real Trends’ list since at least 2017, when Crain’s began covering the annual report.
Based in Schaumburg, Leonard’s team of 10 agents had 546 “sides,” according to Real Trends. A home sale has two sides, buyer and seller, meaning Leonard’s team represented either a buyer or a seller 546 times in 2020, for a sales volume of about $153.6 million.
Dawn McKenna’s team of 18 agents ranked tenth nationwide for large teams’ dollar volume, with over $374.5 million in sales.
Leonard has been in real estate for 15 years, since she was 21, said her sister, Christie Nyquist, who’s been handling the team’s administrative side for about a decade. Leonard was unavailable to talk to Crain’s.
